Belouis Some - Imagination - Banned 12 Inch Version HQ

Warning! This video features some nudity. Directed by Storm Thorgerson, this controversial video was banned by many music TV stations (during the daytime, at least) and 1984 ended up being a particularly good year for banned music videos, the most famous one being Relax by Frankie Goes To Hollywood, of course.

Surprisingly, Imagination reached only #17 in the UK singles chart and was one of only two Top 40 hits for the British new wave artist. The follow-up single Some People reached #33 and the video was also directed by Thorgerson and was used in a Swatch TV advert in America. In South Africa, Belouis Some managed to achieve three Top 40 hits and had quite a big following.
