Erasure - A Little Respect (Matt Mix 2012)
Here we have another superb Matt Mix by the Dutch producer and remixer. If you are not familiar with Matt Mixes then check out some of the posts on this blog - you won't be disappointed! What I particularly enjoy about his mixes are the apreggios which he creates himself, and also the fact that he understands how to give a song a fresh sound without destroying it.
A Little Respect was released in September 1988 as Erasure's third single from the album The Innocents. The song was the synthpop duo's tenth single release of the 80s overall and quickly went on to become one of their signature tunes, reaching #4 in the UK singles chart and #14 in the U.S. As with the majority of Erasure songs, this one was written by Andy Bell and Vince Clarke. The track was remixed and re-released in December 2010 as a digital download single, with the proceeds going to several charities.
Check out the Erasure page at my website Simply Eighties for more videos and info about the band.
